If you’re like me, you’ve wanted to take the kids to Santa’s Workshop on Pikes Peak–but sticker shock has stopped you. $17.95 PER PERSON 2 and up. For small families–that’s doable. Larger families like mine–ouch.

Luckily, they’re offering $5 off regular admission until June 13. That’s still quite a bit of money, but I well deserved treat for my kids.

They describe it as slow cooked, steel cut oatmeal. Which sounds wonderful on this chilly night. You can add fresh bananas, blueberry/blackberry, apple cinnamon, or berry cherry pecan.

Hurry up though! This offer is only good until Friday, December 11th.

So if you’ve been reading for a while, you know I am thrifty. You can also call me cheap. Tightwad also fits.

Being a working mother, I don’t have a lot of time for shopping. I go to one store every week, and I only shop the ad. If it’s not on sale–we don’t need it. (Except of course for milk—we drink 4 gallons a week!)

I think every family is different, but for me, running around to different stores is a waste of time. It all goes on sale at some point.

So this weekend Safeway’s sale is exciting.

Here’s the deal: they have four coupons in their front “flap” for free breakfast. You can use them all with a $50 purchase. It’s free OJ, Bacon, breakfast bread and eggs. I spent my Friday morning getting my coupons together and planning my list–because tomorrow I want to get there early.

This sale is sure to be hot! Click here for more on the ad from SpringsBargains.com Carrie does a great job of breaking it down for us!

So how do you save money?

Update: I saved 60% and did get all the freebies. I ended up going over budge by about 2o bucks.. not bad!
