Last day of 70s

Tuesday temperatures got up into the upper 70s but the Arctic blast is quickly pushing our way. Now it looks like we won’t get back into the 70s through early next week. The Mid-west is dealing with freezing rain, sleet, and snow. The atmosphere is so dynamic they’re getting a wintery mess. The cold air for most areas is only near the surface. Above that warm, moist air is riding over the cool layer causing the precipitation to be hard to predict. Good thing we won’t have to deal with that because it has caused some major travel problems and even some deaths occured. Read more at ABC News. So even though it will be cool for our taste, we can’t complain. For the rest of the week temperatures will be slow to rebound. Highs will only top out in the 50s after Wednesday. Just as we warm up a few degrees on Saturday and Sunday, another cold front will pass.  Looks like we’ll be wearing our coats for a while.
