Expect above average temperatures to continue through tomorrow and Monday. A weak cold front on Monday afternoon will bring only a slight chance of showers but much more is needed. Right now Lafayette needs 6.83 inches of rainfall, New Iberia needs 8.69 inches, Lake Charles needs 7.5 inches, and Alexandria needs 2.84 inches of rain to get on target for normal rainfall for this year. Not to mention the 22 inch deficit from the end of last year.

The dry pattern continues for the rest of next week with only a slight chance for the end of the week. Temperatures will stay in the 80s with the exception of Tuesday when we will feel highs in the mid 70s after the frontal passage. Winds shift once again from the south ushering in warm moist air for Wednesday through the rest of the week.

Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour overnight. Enjoy your Sunday!
