Jeannette Hynes' Book Club, etc.

I have been covering news in southern Colorado since 1999, at various stations within this market both out in the field and on the anchor desk.  I also worked in Phoenix, Arizona, Austin, Texas, and covered nearly the entire panhandle of Nebraska.

My love for news began early in life.  My cousin says it all started with a tape recorder.  I remember playing with that recorder.  We’d sing songs and tell ghost stories complete with sound effects.  My cousin vividly remembers me interviewing her in a “Howard Cosell” voice.  She remembers me being ruthless.  I remember having a lot of fun.

So, come join my book club.  I’m the kind of person who will read a book start-to-finish, no matter how bad the book is.  I feel if someone took the time to write it, I should give it until the very end to see if I really hate it.  I’ll let you know what I’m reading or what I’ve read (good and bad), and I’d love to know what you think of the book.  We’ll also explore kids’ books, various age groups.  I enjoy getting suggestions for my next read, so I welcome books you have discovered.
